Busy Schedule?

Schedule conflicts can be one of the toughest things to navigate when It comes to your own health and fitness. Even though your health matters, it’s not on top of the priority list when work, kids, and life comes into play.

When we don’t prioritize it, things trend in the wrong direction.

More stress.

Less energy.

Less strength.

Farther away from where you want to be.

So, when things are busy and your schedule is getting in the way of your workouts, this is what we do:

1.) Take a deep dive into your week

Sit down, go through every single thing you HAVE to do this week and find the gaps in the day.

Instead of saying, “I don’t have time”

Try creating time around what you need to get done.

There will be gaps throughout the week, the goal is to find those times and figure out what you can make work within that window.

2.) Realistic Schedule

We have to be realistic with what we want our fitness schedule to look like. For most of us, six workouts per week just isn’t going to fit.

You found the gaps in your week, now you can see what realistically fits into your schedule.

So be honest with yourself and what you know you can fit in.

If you are 100% certain you can get two workouts in every week, start there.

3.) Monthly Schedule

Look at your workout schedule on a monthly basis instead of a weekly basis. We work with a large number of people who have changing schedules, travel days, and busy lives. Schedules can be all over the place but some weeks open up more than others.

During those weeks, we can add a few more sessions, and during the busy work weeks we can drop back a few sessions.

Set a monthly target and aim for It.

4.) Prioritize

No one else is going to prioritize your fitness except for you. Find the times you can make work, BLOCK them off in your schedule. That is your time, your time to work on yourself so you can do all the other things that need to get done each day.

Don’t make It a maybe, make It an appointment in your calendar.

You deserve that time, so take It.

In good health,

Jeff
