Chiropractic: The Athlete’s Secret Weapon

This week I had the pleasure to speak with Dr. Adam Wadel of North River Family Chiropractic. He was excited to share the benefits that come along with good chiropractic care.

Enjoy the guest article and please let me know if you have any questions for myself or Dr. Wadel!

Chiropractic: The Athlete’s Secret Weapon

If there was a product that could possibly increase your athletic ability by improving balance, coordination, muscular strength, injury prevention, reaction time, hand-eye coordination, increase of speed and jumping ability without any harmful side effects of performance enhancement drugs…. other than a healthier body, would you do it?

Well, you’re in luck…enter CHIROPRACTIC.

Most Americans are missing out on the incredible health benefits of chiropractic, due to the misconception that chiropractic is only about back pain.   The truth is, chiropractic has very little to do with back pain, and has everything to do with function of the body and nervous system.

When proper chiropractic care is implemented into a healthy lifestyle it can enhance our quality of life as well as improve athletic performance.

This is precisely why you see professional athletes under regular chiropractic care. The fact is that for the professional athlete, their body’s performance is how they make their living.   The question I ask you is, how is this any different for the rest of us?  Isn’t your body how you make a living as well?    Below are some of the incredible benefits that chiropractic offers to anyone….if they have a spine and nervous system.

Specific studies on the effectiveness of chiropractic care and athletic performance have yielded some incredible results.   Under chiropractic care athletes were shown to increase muscular strength (1), jump higher (1,2), improve balance (3), increase speed (4), prevent injury (5), improve reaction time as well as hand-eye coordination. (6,7).

If all that sounds like something you don’t want….do NOTHING.   If, however, you feel moved to improve your health and performance, I suggest you find a chiropractor that will take the time to listen to you, hear about your challenges and goals, take X-Rays, as well as educate you on what health and function truly is.
