How Much Are You Willing To Give?

It’s a serious question.

How much are you really willing to give?

You can give time, money, energy, effort, compliance and they can all work for you to get where you want to be. With all those things comes a lot of sacrifice. 

More time here can take away time from something else.

More money may mean more hours at work.

More energy in the gym requires more rest at other times.

More effort requires mental toughness.

More compliance requires more commitment to this one thing.

So figure this out:

How much is It going to take to get where I want to be?

AND

How much am I willing to give to get there?

If your goal is to be in the best shape of your life within a year, It is going to take a lot of sacrifice to get to that point. And if you aren’t willing to give what It takes to get there then you have to expect to not achieve that goal. 

We cannot expect more than we are willing to give

This can be an eye opener to many people but It can also get us into a new mindset where we create a goal that we are prepared to tackle.

So instead of getting in the best shape of my life within a year…Maybe my goal will be to lose 2″ off my wait this year.

Now looking at what It will take to achieve this goal compared to the other goal is 100% different. The sacrifices are much less and I feel more comfortable with what I need to give to get to that point. 

What you give is what you get, there is no easy goal in health and fitness. We put in a lot of time and effort to see even the smallest of changes. That is why these changes are so rewarding. 

But we have to be prepared for what to expect when we have a goal in mind. We might not be ready to tackle that goal right now, or maybe we are more than prepared. 

First thing is first, find out what It is going to take and then figure out what you are willing to give to get there.
