What does your morning routine look like?
Ever since Mark Wahlberg came out with his crazy morning routine It has been a madhouse of different routines and things that you HAVE to do to be productive the rest of the day.
You have to get up, journal, go on a fasted walk, jump in the cold plunge, do 30 minutes of meditation and you are good to go.
Now what about your job?
Your kids?
Any other obligations that need your attention?
The reason I find this stuff so hard to digest is because we barely have time to squeeze in a few workouts and a couple walks each week, now we are seeing all the things we have to do in the morning to start off our day on the right foot.
It’s hard, and most of us would say we are too busy to add this much crap into our day.
What does my morning routine look like:
-Wake up
-Drink big glass of water
-Feed and play with the dogs
-Pack my breakfast
-Head into work
There is no crazy stuff going on in my morning. I do what I need to do and get out the door. Is this the perfect morning routine? Hell no.
The best morning routine is doing what YOU need to do to get things moving. Find what works for you, do It every single day, and stick with It.
If It works-keep doing It.
If It doesn’t-try something new.
I don’t want this to come off that I am disagreeing with all these morning hack routines-
If journaling helps you, please go for It.
If an ice bath or a cold shower wakes you up, do It!
If you can’t start your day without some alone time meditation, don’t skip It!
These things can all be great in their own regards, what I want to get across is the fact that nothing is mandatory. Just because Mark Wahlberg wakes up at 2:00am to meditate doesn’t mean you have to.
Find your routine–> Drill it into your day.
In good health,
Jeff
