Your Goal MATTERS

What’s your goal?

Think alittle deeper on this one. What do you REALLY want to see come from the work you put in?

For most of us, we want to see actual change. We want to LOOK a certain way. We want to FEEL great. And we want to be WILLING & ABLE. 

Now you might not share these exact goals but most people I see want this type of change, or at least one of the above.

So what are we doing to get there?

-Eat enough quality food

-Increase aerobic capacity 

-Strength train regularly (prioritize this)

Move every single day

-Get enough quality sleep

-Drink ALOT of water 

-Work on your weaknesses

-Focus on gaining strength over time

-Find enjoyment in the process 

These are my top keys to see the change you want to see in your body. 

The problem is, we see these things far too often–>

-Cardio based exercise only 

-No strength training 

-Decreasing calorie intake

-Getting the bare minimum amount of sleep

-Worrying about calorie intake more than calorie expenditure

These things do NOT change our bodies the way we may want. If you want your body to look like someone you’ve seen in a movie or an athlete you saw on TV, skip the second list. 

Doing those things will cause our body to lose weight but not make us look the way we want. We want shape, definition, toning, sculpting and to get those things we want to have minimal body fat with a good base of muscle on our frame.

To do this we need to fuel ourselves enough and train for strength. We shouldn’t fully ditch the cardio based workouts BUT the majority of our sessions should focus on strength. This is the key to seeing the change you really want to see.
